Belfast City Council is considering the return of Culture Night Belfast in 2025 – and they want your input.

Before the pandemic, Culture Night was one of the city’s largest free cultural events, attracting around 100,000 people in 2019. It transformed Belfast’s streets with music, art and performance, making it a key moment in the cultural calendar.

Now, the Council has engaged Thrive and Daisy Chain Inc to explore what a future Culture Night could look like. They are seeking feedback from venues, producers, artists, libraries, heritage spaces and others who have participated in previous editions. Those who have never been involved but have ideas for its future are also encouraged to contribute.

A short survey is now open, offering the chance to share your perspective and sign up for a focus group. The deadline to respond is Friday, 21st February.

Thrive, which provides research, evaluation, and communication support for the arts and heritage sector in Northern Ireland, states: “This survey is designed to capture your experiences of Culture Night and your aspirations for its potential return.”
