The Black Box launches Safe & Sound, a new programme focused on safer cultural spaces

The Black Box has launched Safe & Sound, a new programme supported by Belfast City Council through the Ending Violence Against Women & Girls Fund.
Safe & Sound will use creative activity to support conversations and learning around safety in and around cultural spaces, with a focus on the realities that shape people’s experiences in the city, from nights out to getting home. The programme will foreground lived experience, bringing artists and audiences together to explore care, accountability and shared responsibility.
The programme also sits within The Black Box’s long-running commitment to access and inclusion, including active solidarity with LGBTQI+ communities and allies, and its wider role in Belfast’s cultural infrastructure as a key independent venue within the city’s UNESCO City of Music ecosystem.
More details, including programme activity and line-ups, will be announced soon.
