Starr Records Launches Radio Starr, Makes Call For Contributors

Starr Records, one of Belfast’s most iconic record shops, has announced the launch of its own station, Radio Starr, set to go live this November as part of the Sound of Belfast programme. The new platform will celebrate and amplify Belfast’s creativity in the run-up to the Northern Ireland Music Prize.
Radio Starr will feature a diverse mix of content – from electronic, trad, jazz and live sessions to talk shows, documentaries, interviews and reviews. Uniquely, the station will be female-led, with a commitment to ensuring that at least 50% of its output represents underrepresented voices across the music and arts community.
Starr Records are still welcoming applications from DJs, hosts, selectors and storytellers interested in shaping the sound of the station. Whether through mixes, podcasts, event coverage or original features, Radio Starr aims to become a home for the city’s boldest and brightest ideas.
