Sony Music UK Opens Applications for 2026 A&R Academy

Sony Music UK’s A&R Academy is now open for applications, offering emerging talent from across the UK the chance to take their first step into the music industry.
Running for 12 months from March 2026, this paid opportunity places successful applicants within one of Sony’s leading labels – RCA, Columbia or Ministry of Sound – working directly alongside A&R teams who discover and develop new artists. Participants will gain first-hand experience of how A&R bridges artists, management, and the label, from overseeing the recording process to shaping the creative and promotional journey of a release.
Based at Sony Music UK’s Kings Cross offices in London, the A&R Academy is part of the company’s wider internship network, designed to connect young professionals and support a new generation of industry thinkers. It’s a chance to learn and see what goes into nurturing artists at one of the most influential music companies in the world.
Applications are open until Monday, 24th November at 10am. NI artists interested in understanding how major label A&R works – or considering a move into artist development and creative strategy – are encouraged to apply. More information, including full role details and how to apply, is available via Sony Music UK’s career page.
