If you’ve ever found yourself learning the business side of music by trial and error – or some and late-night Googling – this is a rare chance to help shape something more structured and genuinely useful.

Belfast City Council are developing a free Business Accelerator Programme for the Music Industry, bringing together existing Go Succeed supports with a new, tailored programme built specifically for music professionals.

The aim is practical rather than abstract: support that reflects how people actually work across the city’s music ecosystem, and connects directly with industry events and opportunities across 2025–26.

To help design it properly, they’re running a short sector-wide survey and want to hear from independent artists and bands; managers, promoters and freelancers; labels, studios, venues and music organisations.

The survey takes around five minutes and focuses on what skills and support would make the biggest difference to your work.

If you want future support structures to reflect the realities of sustaining a career or organisation in music, this is the moment to feed in.

Survey closes on 31st January 2026.
