If you’re a Northern Irish artist wanting to elevate your career, the PRS Foundation’s International Showcase Fund supports UK-based artists ready to take their careers to the global stage. Whether you’ve already gained traction with your music in the UK or participated in successful writing and studio sessions, the fund helps cover the costs of international opportunities to perform, network and collaborate.

Eligible applicants must be UK-based music creators who write and perform original music, and have been invited to perform or participate in an international event with a strong industry focus. The fund also supports UK-based events with an international export focus, provided a clear need for travel and accommodation can be demonstrated. Strong business and artistic cases must be made, with applicants needing to show how this showcase will expand their career and export potential.

Funding is competitive, with around 45-55% of applicants receiving support, and a lower percentage for high-demand events like SXSW. The fund prioritises new applicants and non-funded artists. You’ll need to show your “export readiness” through pre-existing industry relationships, concrete plans for meetings and clear business or creative outcomes from the event.

Applications are open to music creators directly or through representatives such as managers, labels, or agents. The International Showcase Fund is a valuable resource for those looking to build a strong international presence and connect with key industry figures.
