NI Artists: Bandcamp Issues New IOSS Tax ID for EU Orders

If you’re one of the many NI artists or labels who use Bandcamp to sell vinyl, CDs or merch to fans across Europe, take note: the platform has just rolled out a new IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) tax ID for physical orders shipped into the EU.
The new ID – IM5284455133 – is live now, and the previous one will be invalid as of 31st March 2025.
This might sound like a small change but it’s a crucial one. Failing to update the ID with your warehouse, fulfilment partner or shipping carrier could result in fans being double charged VAT – or worse, parcels getting refused at the border and returned to you.
Given how many NI artists rely on Bandcamp to connect directly with fans and generate income from physical sales, it’s essential to act fast. Make sure your fulfilment setup is updated and that anyone posting orders on your behalf is aware of the new ID.
You can view all of Bandcamp’s updated Tax IDs via the merch orders section of your account. If you run into any issues, contact Bandcamp directly here.
