The live line-up for this year’s Northern Ireland Music Prize has been announced, marking the return of one of the biggest nights in the local music calendar.

Taking place at the Ulster Hall on Wednesday 12th November, the event forms part of the annual Sound of Belfast festival, celebrating the depth and diversity of NI’s music scene.

As in previous years, the evening will feature a mix of live performances, awards presentations and special moments recognising outstanding contributions to music from across the region. This year’s event will also include a tribute to Van Morrison, honouring his influence and legacy as one of Belfast’s most internationally recognised artists.

Taking to the stage on the night will be a number of the 2025 shortlisted acts, including Becky McNeice, California Irish, Junk Drawer, George Houston, Esmeralda Road and RÓIS, the acclaimed artist from Fermanagh whose recent work has earned widespread attention.

Organised by Oh Yeah Music Centre, the Northern Ireland Music Prize was established to recognise the best music being made here, across genres and generations. Categories include Best Album, Best Single, Live Act of the Year and the BBC Introducing Award, alongside the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Music accolade.

Now a fixture of Belfast’s cultural calendar, the event not only celebrates achievement but also reflects the strength of the region’s creative community, from emerging artists to long-established names.

Full shortlists and final remaining tickets are available via the NI Music Prize website.
