Help Musicians x DJ Mag: Electronic Music Award Now Open for Applications

Help Musicians’ Electronic Music Award, in association with DJ Mag, has reopened for applications, offering a 12-month support programme for producers, DJs and electronic musicians ready to take the next leap in their careers.
Running until Friday, 29th August at 5pm, the award is open to artists working across all electronic genres, from house, techno, and ambient to amapiano, drill, UK garage and more. Whether you’re on the cusp of releasing your debut EP or an established DJ pivoting into production, the support is designed to provide both financial backing and career-defining guidance.
Successful applicants will receive up to £3,000 towards a self-directed project, six hours of 1:1 business advice from industry experts, access to online meet-ups with other awardees and professionals, and expenses to attend a peer and industry mixer event in London. Awardees will also benefit from a healthy practice session delivered by BAPAM.
As part of the partnership, a limited number of supported artists may also have their projects platformed by DJ Mag through editorial features – an added opportunity to amplify your work to a global audience.
Help Musicians will host a free online session on Monday, 11th August from 6–7pm. The session will take a deep-dive into the award, outlining what the support covers, what makes a strong application, and how to best position your project for success. You can register to attend here.
Applications close at 5pm on Friday 29th August. If you’re making electronic music in NI and need meaningful support to take the next step, now’s the time to apply. You’ll find everything you need to get started here.
