The (European) Tour Must Go On!

11:00am – 12:30pm, Wednesday 11th Aug 2021

While international travel remains uncertain and challenging, it is important for artists and other creative professionals to know that we can continue to connect with our European neighbours, artistic colleagues and audiences.

Join Arts Infopoint UK, On the Move, and internationally experienced producers and artists to discuss what has changed since the UK’s exit from the EU, and how UK professionals can prepare for future touring in Europe.

Hear practical tips, approaches, and new considerations for international touring, and what can be drawn from panellists’ experiences working in other non-European countries. We’ll cover the types of logistics around moving people and moving goods connected to a tour – ranging from the 3 C’s of CITES, carnets and cabotage; through to navigating border entry requirements or paperwork and work permits for the people involved in the tour.

Chair and panelists to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Whether you’re a UK-based artist or creative practitioner looking to plan international tours, or you’re a festival, venue or presenter based in another European country, this panel should give you further insight into changes and things to keep in mind.

BSL interpretation and captioning will be provided for this event.
