Rest Club with Music Minds Matter, Black Lives in Music & We Are The Unheard
1:00pm – 2:00pm, Thursday 17th Apr 2025

If you work in music, you’ll know how rewarding and exhilarating it can be. But long nights, constant travel, financial uncertainty and creative pressure can leave even the most resilient of us feeling worn down.
To mark Stress Awareness Month, Music Minds Matter is teaming up with Black Lives in Music and We Are The Unheard to host an online session called #RestClub on Thursday 17 April.
This is an invitation to slow down. To pause. And to learn how we can all build better rest into our lives: something that’s crucial for those of us working in the industry.
Whether you’re an artist, producer, manager, promoter or anything in between, rest is something we all need more of. And not just sleep. Experts say there are seven different types of rest that help us feel recharged: physical, mental, emotional, social, sensory, creative and spiritual.
This session will explore what those actually mean in the context of music work and how we can start making small changes that make a big difference.
Spaces are limited, so only book if you know you can attend. And if your plans change, please cancel to free up your spot for someone else.
Book your place here.
NI artists, managers and anyone working in music: this is for you. Make time to rest. Your work will thank you for it.
