Making Music – Online Member Meetup (Northern Ireland)

5:00pm – 11:00am, Monday 16th Sep 2024

On Monday, 16th September, Making Music will host a free online meetup to support leisure-time music groups in Northern Ireland. Scheduled from 5pm to 6pm, the event will be facilitated by Northern Ireland Manager Stephen McNally and will offer updates on the latest news, challenges, and opportunities facing the sector.

The online session aims to foster discussion among participants, allowing group representatives to talk through issues affecting their organisations and explore possible solutions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions via the chat function during the event.

This event is primarily intended for Making Music member groups based in Northern Ireland, with a particular focus on Group Representatives and Chairs. However, all group members are welcome to attend. Due to the high demand for these events, Making Music is requesting that only one person per group books to attend, to allow as many groups as possible to participate.

The meetup will be hosted on Zoom, with the joining link emailed to attendees two days before the event, and again on the day. The event is free for both members and non-members of Making Music.

Making Music said in a statement: “Running your group is a rewarding but challenging role. Our regular meetups are a chance for you to meet and share learning and ideas with other Northern Ireland groups facing similar challenges, explore specific issues affecting leisure-time music-making in Northern Ireland, and consider how we can work collaboratively to find solutions and advocate for the sector.”
