FAC 101: Break through on Social Media with WeAre8
6:00pm – 7:00pm, Wednesday 21st May 2025

The Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) are hosting a free online session that’s well worth your time if you’re a musician looking to shake up how you connect online. Taking place on Wednesday 21 May from 6–7pm, FAC 101: Break Through on Social Media with WeAre8 will explore how a new kind of social platform is flipping the script for artists.
WeAre8 is aiming to do something different. No toxic content, no manipulative algorithms throttling your reach – just a space where your posts are actually seen, your audience is respected, and the ad revenue gets redistributed to people, communities and planet-positive projects. For musicians used to shouting into the void of traditional platforms, this might just be the start of something better.
FAC’s one-hour Zoom session will break down how the platform works, how artists are already using it, and what it could mean for independent creators trying to cut through the noise. Whether you’re building a fanbase, looking for ethical alternatives to Big Tech or just curious about new digital tools that actually serve artists, this is one to check out.
The event is free to attend thanks to the support of WeAre8. Interested? Register here.
And if you’re not already an FAC PRO member, it’s worth looking into: membership includes free access to all FAC events, pro bono legal support, and more, for just £5 a month (or free up front via PPL).
