BAPAM: Looking After Your Voice – A Guide to Vocal Health
10:00am – 12:00pm, Friday 27th Jun 2025

BAPAM will host Looking After Your Voice: A Guide to Vocal Health on Thursday 27 June from 10am to 12pm, a free, in-depth online session designed to help professional voice users in the performing arts protect and sustain their vocal health.
Led by voice specialist and speech and language therapist Sally Dennis, this workshop is ideal for singers, actors, presenters, teachers and anyone who relies on their voice in a professional setting. Drawing on two decades of clinical experience, Sally will share evidence-based strategies for preventing vocal strain, identifying early signs of vocal issues and promoting long-term vocal wellbeing.
Participants will gain practical skills and insights based on performance psychology, clinical pathways and research-backed approaches to voice care. The session will also explore how and when to seek help if problems arise, and the kind of support that’s available through BAPAM’s expert network.
With a high percentage of performers reporting health concerns that impact their careers, sessions like this are a vital resource, especially for artists across Ireland, including those in NI, who may not always have easy access to specialist guidance.
