Hotbox Entertainment was started in 2018 (opening in 2019) by James Ayo, who was managing artists within Hip-Hop and Drill at the time and was unable to find a suitable studio to accommodate to these genres.
We’ve been open for a few years now and have become a hub for young creatives within alternative genres (Hip-Hop, Grime, Drill and Rap), as well as a variety of cultures and backgrounds who’s music is under-represented and under-supported in Northern Ireland at the moment.
We have built a team of young creatives and musicians in our studio and have loved watching them grow in the scene with connections and experience gained through Hotbox. Our releases on our entertainment platform (which can be accessed on our YouTube) have been aimed at showcasing these genres and the young artists who come through our studio, in order to get them some exposure for their music.
We also showcase our videographer’s work, our producers beats etc, and we love it when people get in touch to work with them as it means our platform is doing what we aim for it to do.
