Deadline Extended for Sounds Atypical Music Grant Scheme
The deadline for the Sounds Atypical Music Grant has been extended to Friday, 24 January 2025, at 4.00 pm.
This grant, delivered in partnership between the University of Atypical and Belfast City Council, supports d/Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent musicians in creating accessible music events and activities across Belfast.
The funding is available in three tiers:
- 2 grants of £5000
- 2 grants of £3000
- 2 grants of £2000
Applications opened on 18 November 2024, with advice sessions available until Friday, 17 January 2025. These sessions provide tailored support to help applicants complete their submissions.
Successful applicants will be announced on 14 February 2025. Projects are expected to take place between March and December 2025, with evaluations due 8 weeks after their completion.
The University of Atypical is a disabled-led organisation based in Belfast that champions opportunities for d/Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent artists. Their work includes producing the Bounce Arts Festival, managing the Atypical Gallery, and running the Arts and Disability Access Awards, which promote accessibility and innovation in the arts.
