SXSW Sydney Music Festival returns in 2025 for its third year, offering artists the chance to perform in one of Sydney’s central live music venues in front of industry representatives, media, and thousands of fans from around the world.

Showcasing at SXSW Sydney is more than just a gig – it’s an opportunity to make meaningful connections and take the next step in your career. Previous showcasing artists have secured management, festival bookings and international touring opportunities, including in North America and across the UK. They’ve collaborated with other acts, built new fanbases, and expanded their industry knowledge in areas such as production, AI and emerging markets.

The festival’s mission is to showcase your work, provide you with the tools to grow and connect you with the right people to help you move forward.

Previous SXSW Sydney artists include Fcukers (USA), Miss Kaninna (AUS), Flyana Boss (USA), ENNY (UK), Fazerdaze (NZ), Isyana Sarasvati (IDN), Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers (AUS), Los Bitchos (UK), Lil Cherry & Goldbuuda (KOR), Prabh Deep (IND), Voice Of Baceprot (IDN), Ayesha Madon (AUS), Songer (UK) and Radio Free Alice (AUS).

Submissions are open to artists from all over the world, including musicians based in NI, across all genres. Whether emerging or established, solo or in a group, signed or unsigned, acts will be assessed on their export readiness, career achievements, touring and release plans, originality, technical ability, songwriting and overall artistry.

Submissions close on 6 April, with successful artists notified on 7 June. The festival itself takes place from 15–18 October.
