Are you an artist or cultural organisation looking to take action on climate change? The British Council’s Climate Futures: South Asia programme is designed to support climate action within the creative industries. This initiative aims to empower the arts sector through grants, mentorship, research, and knowledge exchanges between the UK and South Asia, enabling impactful responses to the climate emergency.

Grants of £15,000 are available for artists and cultural organisations to develop projects addressing climate challenges. These grants will support the creation of artistic responses to climate issues and encourage the integration of sustainable practices within cultural operations.

Projects eligible for funding may include:

  • Artist-led initiatives that foster knowledge sharing and sustainability within the cultural sector.
  • Design and implementation of sustainability strategies or processes for organisations, including capacity-building initiatives.
  • Infrastructure improvements that enhance climate change awareness and promote sustainable practices within the arts sector.

Successful applicants will benefit from mentorship provided by leading UK specialists throughout their project.

The application deadline for grants is 25th November 2024 at 23:59 GMT.
