Applications Open for Scratch My Progress 2025

Applications are now open for one of NI’s most vital music development opportunities.
Based out of Oh Yeah Music Centre – Belfast’s dedicated music hub – Scratch My Progress has become a cornerstone of the region’s grassroots music infrastructure. Now entering its 14th year, the initiative has quietly but decisively levelled up the careers of countless emerging artists across genres, offering targeted, industry-facing support at a time when many need it most.
Run by Oh Yeah and backed by PRS Foundation, IMRO, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council, the programme selects 4–5 solo artists or bands each year to take part in a structured, nine-month development scheme beginning in September.
Over the course of the programme, participants benefit from tailored mentoring, one-to-one guidance from industry professionals, and workshops spanning vocal coaching, songwriting, funding applications, festival strategy, copyright and IP, financial planning and more.
With a track record of shaping future heavy-hitters and creating meaningful momentum, Scratch My Progress continues to stand as a rare and genuinely transformative stepping stone for new music in NI.
Applications are open now until 6pm on 15th July. Find out more and apply via Oh Yeah’s website here.
Scratch My Progress is part of the PRS Foundation Talent Development Network and supported by PPL.
