Northern Ireland artists with real momentum behind them have one week left to apply for one of the biggest career grants in UK music. The PPL Momentum Music Fund closes at 6pm on Monday, 26th October 2026.
Run by PRS Foundation with PPL, and backed here by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Momentum offers grants of £5,000 to £15,000 for artists and bands at a pivotal point in their careers. The money can go towards recording, touring and marketing, the three things that so often decide whether a breakthrough moment turns into a lasting career.
It’s aimed at UK-based acts who’ve already built a real buzz, typically with a growing audience, support from press or radio and a team around them, and who need investment to get to the next level. With the Arts Council of Northern Ireland as a partner, NI artists have a dedicated route into a fund that’s helped launch some of the most exciting careers in UK music over the past decade.
If you’re planning an application, give yourself time to get your budget and plans in order, and make sure your strongest music is front and centre. Full guidance and the application form are available here.
