Nick Scott Bass Player

Belfast-born musician Nick Scott Bass Player’s long musical apprenticeship included show bands, and performance experience with many artists, including theatrical touring shows (including ‘Riverdance’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘The Sound of Music’, many Qdos Pantomimes Productions and numerous TV and radio appearances on the BBC, UTV and RTE networks, and via PBS, CBS, NBC and FOX networks in the USA.

A former member of  Sir Ivan Morrison’s touring and recording band in the 1990s’*, he has also recorded and/or performed with many other artists since including: Mary Black, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Tom Jones, Juliet Turner, Eleanor McEvoy, Chip Taylor, Rosie Flores, Sharon Shannon, Paul Brady, Frances Black, Brian Kennedy, Soak, Sinead O’Connor, Bob Dylan, The Phil Coulter Orchestra, Nick Lowe, Four Men and A Dog, Lonnie Donegan, Dr John, The John Anderson Big Band et al..!

He continues to perform, tour and record internationally and domestically, where he has recently, thanks to the assistance and support of  The Arts Council [NI], set up a home-studio facility to supply online-based internet sessions via www.nickscottbassplayer.com to the creative songwriting community.

He had also been a regular contributor to many youth-education programs with ‘The Making Music Workshop Limited’, which he co-founded in Belfast in 1999, co-leading many community-based projects in the UK and Ireland until 2015.
